Nathaniel Oliveri

Producer, Director, Original Screenplay, Director of Photography, Visual Effects, Original Musical Score

Nathaniel Oliveri, already a renowned guitarist and also writer / director of other short films, graduated from the Foundation Diploma course at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in December 2009.

Other roles Nathaniel took on for Gordon's Star were prop making, set design, set construction, location scouting as well as colour grading. Nathaniel also took on the challenge of the all important auditioning and casting.

Gordon's Star was Nathaniel's first film operating the Canon 5D mark II DSLR camera as well as his first experience scoring a short film of this length (23 minutes 33 seconds).

Miguel Zaragoza

Producer, First Assistant Director, Script Editor, Lighting and Sound, Visual Effects, Website

Miguel Zaragoza has a background in multimedia, 3D animation and visual effects having graduated from the Graduate Certificate in 3D Animation course at AFTRS in the first semester of 2009 whilst studying the Foundation Diploma course (also at AFTRS). He graduated from that course in December 2009. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Animation Directing course at AFTRS in 2010 and is currently studying the Graduate Certificate in Visual Effects course.

Other roles Miguel took on for Gordon's Star were OH&S supervision, prop making, location scouting and also assisted Nathaniel with auditioning and casting.

During his studies at AFTRS in 2009 Miguel also worked on Dead Boring, directed by Dave Edwardz, an AFTRS Graduate Diploma short film which was a live action comedy filmed with a stereo camera. He was involved with the previsualisation and did some rotoscoping on the project. He also did 3D modeling on an animated short called Remembering (Foundation Diploma film by Winni Kim), sound recording for saePod (Foundation Diploma project by Sophie Weldon) as well as 3D special effects for the horror film Moving Day (Foundation Diploma short film by Tsubasa Masano).

Miguel is currently working on original stories for animation. He also teaches Digital Animation at AFTRS for their Open Program.

Annette Sicari

Second Assistant Director

The incredibly talented Annette Sicari graduated from the Foundation Diploma course at AFTRS in December 2009 and is currently studying the Graduate Certificate in Editing Drama at AFTRS in 2010. For the 2009 Foundation Diploma course Annette also worked on her own short documentary film Nonno.

Annette also produced, directed, wrote and edited a short comedy
Bruno, which was featured in the 16th WOW (World of Women) Film Festival 2008 and won the I Love Little Italy Film Festival 2008.

Elena Chrysafis

Production Assistant

The multi-talented Elena Chrysafis graduated from the Foundation Diploma course at AFTRS in December 2009. She assisted with production of Gordon's Star whilst working on her own short animated film for her final project.

Elena is currently developing a feature film she will be directing in late 2010. She is also working on her own video art.
